精進料理 『篩月』＆初夏の祇王寺

先日、京都五山の寺格第一位、嵐山にある天龍寺に行きました。（このお寺は、ため息が出るほど、素晴らしかった）
そして、天龍寺のなかにある永明院で、座禅をしてきました。

※座禅は、座ったまま脚を組み、足を反対の脚の太腿に乗せた状態で行われる一種の宗教的瞑想。
座禅は禅宗で行われます。

素敵なお庭をバックに、座禅をするのは、とても心が引き締められました。

毎週第一日曜にされているそうです。

I went to Tenryuji-temple (the first place status of Buddhist temple of Kyoto Gozan) in Arashiyama.
(The temple was sooo great!)
I did Zazen(Zen medetation) in Youmei-in.

※Zazen is a kind of religious meditation, and is done with legs crossed and each foot placed on the opposite thigh.
It is practiced in Zen Buddhism.

Zazen backed by wonderful garden was so good, my mind tightened very much.

お茶と茶菓子もいただきました。
また時間があるかぎり、参加したいなと思いました。

I had tea and a teacake too.
I thought as long as I have time I want to participate.


座禅のあと、歩いて３～４分のところにある、精進料理『篩月』にて。
After Zazen, I went to "Shigetu Shojin-ryori restaurant" which takes from three to four minutes walking from Youmei-in.


雪（一汁五菜）...3,000円
（別途、庭園参拝料500円が必要です）

"Snow" (one soup and five kinds of side dishes)...3,000 yen
(Additional garden worship charges 500 yen is necessary)

　青大豆の呉汁（蒸した新じゃが入り）

　和え物（キュウリと生麩、しいたけの胡麻酢和え）

　Boiled dishes (Kuruma-bu (wheel-shaped gluten cakes))

　Vegetables with dressing (dish dressed with sesame sauce of cucumber,nama-fu (fresh gluten cakes),shiitake)

Gomadoufu (crushed sesami seeds boiled in water and chilled like tofu)

　assorted food (yam, holdfast(seaweed), burdock, butterbur, konjac, plum glace, jelly dessert)

動物性食品は一切使っていない精進料理なので、だし汁も削り節を使用していません。
ボリュームがありますが、あっさりと仕上がっているので、胃が重くなるような事はありません。
とても美味しくいただけました。（ナスがちょっと辛くて、ごはんおかわりしちゃった…；）
でも、丁寧に作られた料理を食べることは口惜しかったです

Because shojin-ryori isn't used animal food at all, the broth doesn't use shavings of dried bonito too.
The meal was substantial, but light taste, so my stomach didn't get heavy.
It was very delicious.
But it was regrettable to eat the dish cooked carefully;)


レストランから見える庭園が、とても美しいです。
The garden from the restaurant looks very beautiful!


お箸袋の裏に、食事五観之文が書いてありました。
"shokuji gokanmon" was written on the other side of the chopsticks envelope.

食事は横一線に並びあって座って頂くスタイルでした。
何部屋かありますが、お客が入れ替わり立ち替わりで、賑わっていました。

お店の方は忙しいのに、どの方も、私の質問に、やさしくお母さんのように答えてくれました。
料理の内容や作り方のことも、どの方もよくご存じで、親切に教えてくれました。

There were several rooms, but visitors went in and out well one after another.
Though it was busy, all person of the restaurant answered for my questions gently,,, like mother.
and everybody knew the contents and how to make dishes,and told me kindly.


レストランから歩いて１分ほどのところにある、天龍寺　曹源池も美しかったです。
Sogenthi in Tenryuji-temple 1 minute's walk from the restaurant was also beautiful.

食べ終わったあとは、ちょっと足をのばして、大好きなお寺、祇王寺へ。
After eating, I went to my favorite Gioji-temple.

「平家物語」悲恋の尼寺、祇王寺。

It is small,but the appearance is tasteful temple.
It is called "Nunnery of the tragic love of Tale of Heike".

「萌えいづるも　枯るるも同じ　野辺の草　いずれか秋にあわではつべき」

「Moeizurumo Karurumoonaji Nobenokusa Izurekaakini Ahadehatsubeki」

meaning→ "Whether the grass has just budded, or whether it is about to dry up and die, all the grass in a field eventually dies in the autumn. For people too, all lovers become tiresome someday."

The story of the temple is painful and expresses the transient nature of happiness.

初夏の祇王寺は緑がとてもきれいで切なかったです。
平清盛の供養塔と祇王・祇女・母刃自の墓にお参りをして帰りました。

Green of early summer in Gio temple was very clean,and feel so sad inside.
I worshiped the grave of Giou,Gijo,their mother and a memorial tower of Tairano Kiyomori.
